TNT Couriers v Australia Post
Australia Post you are forgiven. You are forgiven for making me wait in the never ending queue and you officious staff who show no willingness to compromise for I have now experience the customer service of TNT Couriers.

Angry_manTNT Couriers, owned by a publicly listed company, seem to be the courier of choice for many companies these days. My experiences with them can best be described in one simple word - Horrible.

Over the past three years I have had regular dealings with them and each time it has ended in significant inconvenience.

Is their inability to deliver the parcel to me my fault?

Possibly, due to the fact that:

a) I did not answer front door within 5 milliseconds of the courier knocking or

b) that the courier could not see a car in the driveway,
so instead they leave a card in the letterbox advising me that they were sorry I missed you.

When you discover that "sorry I missed you" calling card in your letter box you immediately cringe.

As you dial their 24/7 customer "service" number and work your way through the options you already know what the answer will be. Sorry sir you can pick the article up from our depot in xxxxx (insert a place miles from your home) or we can reschedule delivery in 48 hours as the dock is closed, deliveries for tomorrow have been loaded etc etc.

Over recent times my record for attempted deliveries by TNT is three, which extended delivery of a flute, needed for a recital, by almost a week.

In comparison when dealing with deliveries by Australia Post I know that if a card is left for me all I have to do is attend the local post office to collect the item and better still if I have it delivered to my post office box I can collect it outside of normal office hours. Now that is convenience.

So TNT take a leaf out of Australia Post's book and start providing the service that your customers expect. Make an effort.
