The 6 Step Pavlova Recipe

Seeking a simple or easy Pavlova recipe that is tried and tested?

This recipe is easy to make as long as you beat the mixture enough and cook very slowly.

All of our visitors love it and keep coming back for more:

Ingredients:

6 egg whites

¼ teaspoon Crème of Tartar

1½ cup Caster Sugar

1½ tablespoons Cornflour

1½ teaspoons vanilla

3 teaspoons vinegar

 

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 110.

2. Beat egg whites with Crème of Tartar until stiff peaks form. Then gradually add the sugar.  Beat until stiff and glossy (10 minutes to be sure!!)

3. Fold in cornflour, vanilla and vinegar.

4. Pile onto an oven proof dish (or spoonfuls for nests) and bake for 1¼ - 1½ hours, until firm, without allowing to colour.

5. Cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar using a wooden spoon.

6. Decorate with cream, fruit etc.
