Sometimes when channel surfing you will uncover a hidden gem and it was as such that I  stumbled across Community.

Centered around a Community College in the USA it is a sitcom which focuses on the college lives  of a number of misfits thrown together in Spanish study classes. The group is led by the charismatic Jeff a one time high flying lawyer until it was found out that he had no qualification. Other notable characters include Pierce a moist towelette tycoon, Shirley the recently divorced mother of two, Britta the love interest for Jeff and Abed the Palestinian American who lives life through film.

Story lines evolve around the groups interactions with each other and the eccentric staff including Señor Chang the Asian Spanish teacher.

The series is well written and together with the strong performances of the cast it is enjoyable to watch.

So if like me, one day you are channel surfing take the time to have a rest and watch Community.
