Degani Bakery Cafe – A Review
A visit to local shopping centres, shopping strips in Melbourne and you will find Degani Bakery cafe.
This cafe concept originally based around quality coffee and cake has now evolved to providing an array of menu items catering from breakfast to dinner.
Degani in Eltham follows the concept to the tee. Outside dining dominates the space which is positioned on the corner of the newest addition in the Eltham shopping precinct.
From the elevated balcony we chose an outdoor table.
Thankfully Degani have not gone the cheap option with tables and chairs opting for instead strong, sturdy and comfortable affair.
The lunch menu ranges from a light focaccia through to more hearty meals such as steak sandwiches and chicken parmigiana. Kids meals are also available at a reasonable $8.95.
As always I can not pass up the Parma so predictably that was what I ordered. I wasn’t disappointed the size of the Parma was more than adequate and was complemented with chips and salad. $17.50 great value.
The other chosen meal was the open steak sandwich also with chips and salad. Another good choice and only $16.95.
The youngest addition to our party chose a meat pie which satisfied his pallet.
We finished the lunch with a quality latte and cookie.
Degani has now expanded across Melbourne not bad for a cafe originally based in Clifton hill.
Having eaten at a number of Degani bakery cafes across Melbourne I know that I can expect quality food in plentiful quantities which is consistent and for that Degani wins my approval.
