The Los Angeles Auto Show marks the debut of the Jaguar C-X16 "one plus one" sports car concept. Lightweight, all aluminium construction and a "neutron white" body work the Jaguar C-X16 is further evidence of Jaguar's clear design direction and desire to embrace "green" technology. ![]() With a 50:50 weight distribution and powered by a supercharged 3 litre V6 petrol engine producing 280 kw and 450nm of torque and supplemented by a hybrid system boosting the power output by a further additional 70kw and 235Nm this cat has an impressive 0 to 100klm/hour figure of 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 300 kilometres per hour. Also capable of driving on electricity only upto 80 kilometres per hour this Jag offers versatility while still preserving a racing pedigree. ![]() Visually the Jaguar retains many design qualities of other recently released models while also expressing its individuality evidenced by the stunning red interior cabin layout and side hinged rear window. ![]() This Jaguar is further example of the improvements being made in hybrid technology and is evidence that in a short while even us confirmed petrol heads at CarHq will be embracing the technology in our daily drives. ![]() |
